Tracking Number

What Is a Tracking Number?

A shipping tracking number is a unique ID number or code assigned to a shipment that allows the sender, recipient, and carrier to track the package’s progress throughout the shipping journey, from origin to destination. Logistics tracking numbers can be composed of letters and numbers, their format varying depending on the postal or delivery service. They can be used on the carrier’s website or integrated into the retailer’s tracking page to offer detailed insights on the package’s journey, estimated delivery date and time, and any potential issues that may arise during transit.
