Temperature-Controlled Shipping

What Is Temperature-Controlled Shipping?

Temperature-controlled shipping refers to the transportation of goods that need to be kept within a certain temperature range to maintain quality and freshness. Common in the beverage industry, temperature-controlled freight shipping is used for goods like kombucha, craft beer, and other drinks that are sensitive to heat or cold. The definition of controlled room temperature typically refers to maintaining 59–77°F (15–25°C), a crucial range for many consumables. Proper temperature-controlled shipping preserves shelf life, taste, and compliance with health regulations. In other words, temperature-controlled shipping ensures goods are the same temperature from origin to destination.
